For new riders, the group ride solves the hardest problem in cycling: the first time. The ride becomes a standing appointment, the appointment becomes fitness, and the fitness is the actual product. The bike is just how you get there.
It's also the best mechanic on staff. Ride with someone for two hours and you'll hear the creak they've been ignoring, watch them fight a gear that won't hold, notice the saddle that's a centimeter too low. Half the fittings and tune-ups we book start as a quiet word at a rest stop, not a sales pitch. Riding alongside our customers keeps us honest about what their bikes actually need.
So yes, we'll keep running the rides, and no, you don't have to have bought your bike here to come. Show up on a Saturday at nine, and bring whatever you've got. That's genuinely all the qualification anyone needs. The coffee's on us the first time.
